Local avalanche forecaster Sue Burak, PhD, will be giving a brief history of the active avalanche paths in Inyo and Mono County that impact roads and residential areas. Topics covered will include how far an avalanche runs and a discussion of avalanche runout estimates used in operational forecasting.
