Phil has over a decade of experience teaching tracking and is certified as Senior Tracker through Tracker Certification North America. Come learn to identify the track and sign of the many charismatic creatures who make their living in the Eastern Sierra. \nLocation will be in the Bishop or Big Pine area. DESCRIPTION:Join Eastern Sierra Land Trust and the CA Department of Fish and Wildlife for an informative field trip in the Round Valley mule deer herd’s migration corridor. While looking for deer making their annual journey\, wildlife biologist Dan Taylor\, with CDFW\, will lead us on an educational tour of the Round Valley mule deer herd’s winter range and share updates and information on some of the challenges the deer are facing. \nThe Mule Deer Migration Corridor Field Trip is a free\, family-friendly event. Please do not bring dogs\, but do remember to dress for the weather. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. Binoculars are recommended to view the deer\, but they are not required.
