DESCRIPTION:The Bishop Community Band has begun their Summer Season of Concerts in the Park. They will perform every Monday from now until the leaves turn at the Gazebo in the front of the Bishop Park at 8:00 PM. The music will include marches\, popular songs\, jazz arrangements and popular novelty numbers. Bring a chair and/or a blanket and enjoy the cool of the evening with the music of the Bishop Community Band. For nigh unto fifty years local musicians have been serenading the citizens and visitors in Bishop on Monday nights. Every concert is absolutely free of charge. The Bee Gees Gold tribute is the ultimate salute\, as audiences enjoy the experience of seeing the Bee Gees in their prime. Acosta portrays lead singer Barry Gibb with a zest for detail like no other. Backed by a live band\, Bee Gees Gold recreates the look and sound of the Bee Gees from the 60’s to the late 70’s\, with their unique falsettos that made them legends. Performing such early hits as “Massachusetts” and “I Started a Joke” to the later Disco classics “Stayin’ Alive\,” “You Should be Dancing\,” and other\, never to be forgotten Andy Gibb hits..\nThe Concert in the Rocks has been a charity benefit dinner and concert held for over 30 years and is a major fundraiser for the Museum of Western Film History\, whose collections and exhibits pay tribute to the legacy and heritage of Western Films in America. Every June\, Lone Ranger Canyon\, located in the magnificent Alabama Hills\, and one of America’s greatest outdoor venues. is transformed into an “under the stars” venue for hosting the annual Lone Pine – “Concert in the Rocks.” The evening begins with a welcoming reception in the museum. Following the reception attendees are transported to the Alabama Hills for a “Cowboy Ranch” dinner preceding the show. Mark your calendar for May 31 from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. \nYou can pick up a map and itinerary at the start of the tour between 8:30 am-10:00 am at ESLT’s office and demonstration garden at 250 N.
