Railroad Express is a magical family day at Laws Railroad Museum with train rides, holiday crafts, refreshments and visits with Santa Claus.
Get your train ticket to this small town magical tradition. See your child’s face light up when they get their golden ticket, marching in for the secret ask from Santa, a visit from Smokey Bear, the yummiest s’mores, two unique holiday crafts AND a free book from Altrusa, all to fit into their very own custom designed bag. Top it off with a hot cocoa and wagon ride down caroling lane, drawn by horses from Rock Creek Pack Station. And the grand finale, taking a 15 minute train ride with carolers, elves and a special gift from Santa’s elves.

Every Saturday the Bishop Area Climbing Rangers will be serving Black Sheep Coffee at the Pleasant Valley "Pit" Campground from 8am-10am. Come out to meet the rangers, Matthew and Casey, and enjoy a hot cup of coffee! This program will continue through March.

Join Bishop Climbing Rangers, Matt and Casey, for a plein air session (aka outdoor painting) at the PV Pit Campground. Bring your own art supplies or use theirs. Bring a chair. Meet at bathrooms.
Learn about the geology of the Alabama Hills with BLM rangers. Meet at the Mobius Trailhead Parking Lot, 1.5 miles north on Movie Flat Road from Whitney Portal Road. Children need to be accompanied by adults. Wear sturdy walking shoes. Be prepared for weather changes. Bring water & snacks. Program may be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, etc.
All courses will be offered on a sliding-scale starting at $50. To ensure our programs are financially accessible, full scholarships are also available for all education courses. A scholarship application is only required for those unable to afford the lowest tier ticket of $50.
Support the local 4H Program and participate in the 4th annual Green & Washer Tournament and Barbeque Dinner. Tournament tickets - $25/person & $100/team. Dinner only $25 per ticket. No host bar by VFW. Contact 4-H Office for pre-sale tickets and information at 760-873-7854. Tournament check-in - 3PM. First toss - 4PM. Dinner - 5:30PM. All funds stay local to help with program costs, enrollment fees, events and awards.
