Big Pine Civic Club will host the annual community Easter Egg Hunt in Mendenhall Park at 12 Noon. Over one thousand eggs for the hunt, special golden eggs and pictures with the Easter Bunny.
Bishop Elks Lodge will host annual egg hunt at Elks Park on West Line Street. Free hot dogs and drinks for the kids and plenty of eggs including "special eggs" with great prizes. For more information, call 760-873-3221.

Learn about the natural history of the Alabama Hills with BLM rangers. Meet at the Mobius Trailhead Parking Lot, 1.5 miles north on Movie Flat Road from Whitney Portal Road. Children need to be accompanied by adults. Wear sturdy walking shoes. Be prepared for weather changes. Bring water & snacks. Program may be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, etc.

Sunday, April 30th at 11am Manzanar will host two guest speakers. Dr. Arthur A. Hansen who will be discussing his new book, Manzanar Mosaic: Essays and Oral Histories on America's First World War II Japanese American Concentration Camp. Wednesday, May 3rd at 3p.m. Shirley DaValle Meeder: come hear memories of her life in Manzanar from 1942 to 1945. Both programs are free and open to the public.
