Southern Inyo County
The Owens Valley is absolutely beautiful right now. With temperatures in the low seventies, it makes for a fantastic time to jump in and out of the car taking photos (being considerate and pulling off the road in designated turnouts, of course)! Or, the perfect time to enjoy whatever it is that you love doing: trail running, fishing, golfing, etc. 

It does feel like colors at the north end of Inyo County will be winding down soon. While there are LOTS of yellows and golds, and some trees still holding onto some green, some of the trees are beginning to lose their leaves. 

Southern Inyo County, with its slightly lower elevations, still has a variety of greens, yellows and golds. Enjoy, friends!

The Bishop area is one of those places where fall colors spread over a couple of months as they start up at the upper elevations (above 10,000’) and move down into the Owens Valley (roughly 4,000’). We have predominantly aspen trees in the high country and in the valley lots of cottonwoods and silver maples.
