10th Annual Eastern Sierra History Conference

Join us for the 10th annual Eastern Sierra History Conference! Offering two days of lectures and presentations from a wide range of Eastern Sierra scholars and storytellers, the History Conference delivers extensive knowledge about the nature, culture, history and economy of our region.

Topics for 2025 include the hydrology of Owens Lake and Bishop Creek, discussions of notable Eastern Sierra figures like Mary Austin and Norman Clyde, a dive into the journals of beloved Yosemite ranger Ferdinand Castillo, history of the Big Pine cemetery, and much more.

Schedule – a full schedule will be sent to all attendees
Friday, Oct 31 – Presentations from 8:30am – 4:30pm
Saturday, Nov 1 – Presentations from 8:30am – 4:30pm
Sunday, Nov 2 – Off site field trips (more details coming)

Continental breakfast, beverages and lunch provided Friday and Saturday.
