Bishop Trout Rodeo

If you want to have fun, come on February 07 for the Trout Rodeo. There are prizes for the winners of both categories (fly and conventional) and you can compete individually and as a team. All Catch and Release and this is scored in total inches. As a former participant in the Trout Rodeo, we’re excited to invite you to join us again in 2026. So, if you’re already thinking you might need a little getaway after the holidays — mark this on your calendar.
This will be the 5th time for this catch-and-release event in the Owens Valley. Depending on the weather, you could be fishing from the Upper Owens to Lone Pine! Same rules as before so bring your friends, club members, and anyone else who likes a fun competition. As always, the special Beverage glasses go to the winning team members and individuals in both the fly and conventional classes.
When – February 07, 2026
Where – Saturday morning – (02/07/26) – We meet at Tri-County Fairgrounds and then you are off to your favorite places to fish. The tournament runs from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. with dinner, raffles, and awards at the Fairgrounds, starting at 6 p.m.
