Ernest Kinney Teamster Family

By Robert Thomas, John Knowlton Jenna Morgenstein, Rich Perkins, Tory Michener and J.T. Schmidt, 1999. Conceived by Er nest Kinney of Bishop, this mural is a triptych (three panels in one mural). The wall also incorporates trompe l’oiel (fool the eye) decoration to enhance its setting on the building. The central panel illustrates a twenty-two-animal team of horses and mules going up and over Sand Canyon to Power Plant #3 on Bishop Creek. There are 18 in front and four pushers in the back. The orange generator part is part of power plant machinery and weighs approximately 20 tons. It is still in use today. 362 North Main St., Union Bank, north wall.
