Fish Lake Valley Heritage Center and Museum (Nevada)

Located next to Wagon Wheels RV park in Dyer, Nevada, the Fish Lake Valley Heritage Center and Museum was created by local resident, Linda Williams, to record and protect the history of this remote, agricultural valley. After establishing the museum, folks from around the region began donating relics and artifacts and even whole buildings. Restored and curated with era-specific objects that are “meaningful and historically relevant to the Dyer and Fish Lake Valley communities,” the museum is testament to pioneering spirit of the last 200-years. One notable exhibit is the authentic, period chuck wagon.

The community is still as remote and beautiful as it ever was and worth a road trip to take in the sights and learn the history. Hours vary depending on the season.
