Eastern Sierra Observatory Lecture Nights

The Eastern Sierra Observatory will host a series of lectures on the night of July 20th, 21st and 22nd.  Each night will offer a new topic including black holes, the moons of our solar system , and galaxy evolution. Attendance will be limited to 16 guests.

Owens Valley Cruisers Fall Colors Car Show

Bishop City Park 700 N. Main Street, Bishop, CA

Take a drive to the spectacular Owens Valley to join us at the Bishop City Park for the annual Fall Colors Car Show.  You can register Friday evening and socialize, or register Saturday morning at the show - no pre-registration required.  Follow the signs from Main Street.  Friday evening - music and food trucks. Saturday morning - car show with a Lions Club pancake breakfast available. Cost of entry $50, judging by Owens Valley Cruisers, awards at 3pm on Saturday. Eastern Sierra Observatory Dark Sky Festival

The Eastern Sierra Observatory will host a California Dark Sky Festival October 12th through October 15th in Panamint Valley.  The event will feature huge telescopes, lectures, photography workshops, a food truck, a giant chess set, camping onsite under dark skies and more.
