Join BLM Archeologist Greg Haverstock to learn about Pre-Colonial Nüümü (Paiute People) Agricultural Practices & Irrigation Systems of the Payahuunadü (Owens Valley) during the 15th century. Project collaborators include USGS geologist Angela Jayko, former White Mountain Research Station Historian Daniel Pritchett, and the late Bishop Paiute Tribal Elder Harry Williams. The 7th Annual Eastern Sierra History Conference will focus on people, places, and events of the Sierra Nevada. Field trips and tours highlighting Eastern Sierra cultural and historical sites will be available on Sunday, October 30. The Bazaar will feature a variety of tasty baked treats, free coffee, and many hand-crafted and one-of-a-kind items, including fall and winter home décor, as well as upcycled items, gifts, hand-knit and hand-crochet hats and scarves, baby items, and much more. For children, supervised crafts with a snack will be available for $2 per child, while their adult shoppers enjoy the bazaar.

Hosted by VFW Post 8988 Auxiliary and American Legion. 11 am ceremony at Pioneer Cemetery. Special renaming ceremony at 4pm at VFW Post - 484 Short Street. New name for the post will be Robert F. Waggoner VFW Post 8988. Dinner to follow ceremony. No fee for Veterans.
