The Lone Pine Half Marathon & 10K benefits John Wayne Cancer Foundation, so every step you take helps advance the fight against cancer through pioneering cancer research and programs. Run in honor of family and friends who have been affected by cancer. Your registration and fundraising efforts make it possible for the John Wayne Cancer Foundation to fund novel and innovative programs that improve cancer patients’ outcomes and save lives through research, education, awareness and support.
Annual fundraising event to help everyone fighting all types of cancer in our region. Registration, start and finish at Bishop City Park. Registration opens at 7:30 am, walk/run begins at 9am.
The 9th Annual Eastern Sierra History Conference will focus on people, places, and events of the Sierra Nevada. Field trips and tours highlighting Eastern Sierra cultural and historical sites will be available.

The parade begins 4:30 pm at High Country Lumber and heads north on Main Street, ending at Bishop City Park for the official tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 pm.

This princess was a narrow-gauge railway and she ran from Carson City, Nevada, to Keeler, a bustling mining town on the shores of the now-dry Owens Lake. The 2024 Blake Jones Trout Derby is set for Saturday, March 23rd in Bishop! Every year, nearly $10,000 worth of cash and prizes are awarded including float tubes, rods & reels, gift certificates to local shops and restaurants and more. The Blake Jones derby is a blind bogey format with categories for adults and kids of all ages. In addition to the blind bogey awards, there will be prizes for early bird registrations, farthest travel, biggest fish, even prizes for those who don’t catch any fish or choose to catch & release.
