Bishop Community Band plays at the city park band gazebo 8 to 9 every Monday evening. Bring a chair, picnic dinner & friends. This has been going on in Bishop every summer for 100 years! Variety of music for all ages - Latin, Classical, Swing, Jazz, Rock n Roll, Marches, and Musicals. Dancing encouraged! And, if you ever played an instrument in high school, pick it up and come play along, no practice needed.

Dr Mark Hodges of CalTech's Owens Valley Radio Observatory will be setting up a telescope for the public to view Saturday morning's annular (NOT annual) eclipse at Field #1 at Bishop City Park. He will be there about 8 am until about 10:30 am. In addition to the telescope, he will project an image and will have eclipse glasses for people to use.
