COSA Monthly Bird Walk

COSA 351 Pacu Lane, Bishop, CA

The COSA bird walk is an easy walk around the Bishop Paiute Tribe’s Conservation Open Space Area (COSA, behind the Forest Service building.) Walks occur the second Saturday of every month. October to May walks start at 8:30 am, and from June to September at 7:30 am. Meet behind the U.S. Forest Service/Bureau of Land Management building (351 Pacu Lane, Bishop). Limited supply of binoculars available.

Flash Foxy Winter Course – Intro to Trad

All courses will be offered on a sliding-scale starting at $50. To ensure our programs are financially accessible, full scholarships are also available for all education courses. A scholarship application is only required for those unable to afford the lowest tier ticket of $50.

Bishop 4H Green & White Washer Tournament & Barbeque Dinner

Support the local 4H Program and participate in the 4th annual Green & Washer Tournament and Barbeque Dinner.  Tournament tickets - $25/person & $100/team.  Dinner only $25 per ticket.  No host bar by VFW.  Contact 4-H Office for pre-sale tickets and information at 760-873-7854.  Tournament check-in - 3PM.  First toss - 4PM.  Dinner - 5:30PM.  All funds stay local to help with program costs, enrollment fees, events and awards.  

Bishop Trout Rodeo

The Bishop Trout Rodeo is coming back to Bishop! This is a catch and release event brought to you by the Southwest Council Fly Fishers International. We're lucky to have California fishing open year-round in Bishop, and we're going to celebrate with the second annual mid-winter trout rodeo!This will be a trout tournament for both fly fishers and conventional fishers. The Bishop Chamber of Commerce has been very supportive in bringing this event to our area. Pleasant Valley Reservoir and the Owens River will be the focus of the fishing.

Owens Valley Cruisers Fall Colors Car Show

Bishop City Park 700 N. Main Street, Bishop, CA

Take a drive to the spectacular Owens Valley to join us at the Bishop City Park for the annual Fall Colors Car Show.  You can register Friday evening and socialize, or register Saturday morning at the show - no pre-registration required.  Follow the signs from Main Street.  Friday evening - music and food trucks. Saturday morning - car show with a Lions Club pancake breakfast available. Cost of entry $50, judging by Owens Valley Cruisers, awards at 3pm on Saturday.
