Dr Mark Hodges of CalTech's Owens Valley Radio Observatory will be setting up a telescope for the public to view Saturday morning's annular (NOT annual) eclipse at Field #1 at Bishop City Park. He will be there about 8 am until about 10:30 am. In addition to the telescope, he will project an image and will have eclipse glasses for people to use. Alabama Hills National Scenic Area Bishop, CA, United StatesOn October 14th, the solar eclipse will start at approximately 8:06 am, peak at 9:23 am, and end at 10:48 am in the Eastern Sierra, with 80% coverage of the sun, creating dusk-like conditions. Join an ESIA interpretive specialist for a talk and witness one of the celestial events of the year! 9 am: Mobius Arch Trailhead Parking, Alabama Hills. Solar glasses and an eclipse projector will be provided for viewing, paired with a short talk about the phenomenon.
