Bishop Visitor's Center

Each of your senses come alive from the reawakening of nature. The sound of rushing water and young animals playing. The aromatic smells of wildflowers blooming. The warmth of the sun giving you an important dose of vitamin D. Spring is in the air! This is the time to let the big backyard of Bishop restore, reenergize, and help you take the first step to a healthier and better you.

Awaken Your Senses

Even in sunny California, for most of us it’s challenging to get enough vitamin D in the winter months. As the days get longer in spring, it’s a perfect opportunity to visit Bishop and spend some quality time outside. Take in the vast array of waterfalls on a hike now being fed by the melting of the High Sierra snowpack. Immerse yourself in the sensory explosion of wildflowers roaring to life.

Go For An Adventure

The legendary ski film maker Warren Miller once said, “If you don’t do it this year, you will be one year older when you do.” Don’t let another spring pass by without checking off at least one adventure that you’ve set your sights on. Maybe it’s to try bouldering, ski a peak in the Eastern Sierra, or actually be there on opening day for fishing (aka Fishmas)! This is the perfect time of year to do anything you can dream of outdoors.

Heal Your Soul

There’s a reason why they call it “spring break.” We’ve all been cooped up inside working or going to school, and now we need an opportunity to unplug and relax. Bishop is the perfect destination to revitalize your spirit and body with a spring escape. De-stress with a soak in a hot spring. Detox your body with a yoga session. And of course, feed your soul with scrumptious food.

Relaxation isn’t a want but a human need. Don’t let this spring go by without giving yourself that well deserved break.
