Join the Bishop Climbing Rangers in the Buttermilks parking lot at 8:30am for trail work and litter pickup. We'll have free hot coffee, trash bags, gloves, trash grabbers, and swag. Volunteers must sign a waiver and will work independently or in small groups. Bring: sun protection, warm clothes, water, snacks, a mask, and sturdy shoes.
Bishop Climbing Rangers are available for free coffee and a chat about local ethics and stewardship. Take a stand for our climbing areas.
Following the parade & tree lighting, enjoy hot mulled wine, hot chocolate. Pino Pies and others will offer tasty treats and handmade items for sale.
Railroad Express is a magical family day at Laws Railroad Museum with train rides, holiday crafts, refreshments and visits with Santa Claus.
Get your train ticket to this small town magical tradition. See your child’s face light up when they get their golden ticket, marching in for the secret ask from Santa, a visit from Smokey Bear, the yummiest s’mores, two unique holiday crafts AND a free book from Altrusa, all to fit into their very own custom designed bag. Top it off with a hot cocoa and wagon ride down caroling lane, drawn by horses from Rock Creek Pack Station. And the grand finale, taking a 15 minute train ride with carolers, elves and a special gift from Santa’s elves.

Variety of music for all ages - Latin, Classical, Swing, Jazz, Rock n Roll, Marches, and Musicals. Dancing encouraged! And, if you ever played an instrument in high school, pick it up and come play along, no practice needed.

Join us as the Goddard Instrument Field Team and their collaborators from across NASA discuss their planetary analog research in the Long Valley and Mono Lake areas. 16th Annual VCMC Bishop Dual Sport Rally presented by the Ventura County Motorcycle Club.
